A summer of races…
August has been a busy month for races in STC, here are just a few to highlight!
On Saturday 17th, club members went to Mallory Park to take part in a draft-legal sprint triathlon (along with the British Sprint Distance Championships). Well done to James, Helen, Anthony, Nacho and Alice, and congratulations to Chris and Luke who both won their respective age categories!
The day after Morgan and Connor took part in their own races, York Sprint and Blithfield Olympic. Amazing work for Morgan who came in second overall and first in his age category.
Meanwhile during the same weekend, Pablo was in over Copenhagen competing in his first IRONMAN. After joining the club less than a year ago, he has put in so much work to read this milestone and achieved a fantastic result of 12:28:58! Well done Pablo and hopefully this inspires others to sigh up for their first full IRONMAN in 2025?
To finish off the month, the club took part in the HUUB National Triathlon Relays over at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham. We entered seven (yes, 7!) under various names, inspired by exotic, and some not so exotic, animals. Well done to the Tigers (placed 2nd in males), Lionesses (3rd in females), Tigers, Squirrels, Sharks, Otters and Hippos!
